The Pillars of Islam

God is one and Mohammad Peace be upon him is the last messenger of God is the firm believe of every Muslim. Muslims tend to follow the God’s will prescribed in Quran and the Sunnah of Mohammad Peace be upon him. Quranis the book which was revealed on Mohammad Peace be upon him. Islam is based on the five pillars or five entities like a building have a structure and this structure is based on the pillar. Without these pillars a building is unable to retain its state similarly a religion Islam is based on important five entities. These are as listed below:
i. Shahadah
ii. Salat
iii. Zakat
iv. Sawn/Siyam
v. Hajj
The first pillar of Islam is Shahadah which is the most important entity in Islam. According to the Shahadah a muslim should accept from the core of his heart that God is one and there is no one else like God and Prophet Mohammad Peace be Upon him is the prophet of God. Mohammad Peace be upon him is the Messenger of God and a Muslim should accept he is the last prophet.
Second most important entity of Islam is Salat which also means namaz. Muslims offer prayers/Salat fives time a day. One is known as Fajar, Dhuhr, Asar, Magrib and Isha. The prescribed time period of the salat is as given below:
i. Fajar Dawn to sunrise
ii. Duhar After true noon until Asr
iii. Asr Afternoon
iv. Magrib After sunset until dusk
v. Isha Dusk until dawn
Islam is only the religion which gives the concept of peace and prosperity and offering five times prayers is the symbol of discipline and unity. Zikat is spending some money on poor people annually which is the 2.5 % of the Gold or money which is not in used. Sawn/Siyam is a type of fasting which is done in the Islamic month of Ramazan. Hajj is the annual pilgrimage to Mecca, Saudi Arabia. As it is the largest annual pilgrimage in the world and the fifth pillar of Islam.
