Avoid Going To The Emergency Room

Back pain is possibly the number one reason causing millions of Americans to take leaves from work. If you are a chronic back pain sufferer, seek proper chronic pain treatment for its resolution. Visiting emergency room of the hospital may not be such a good idea!

Here’s why? If you think ER doctors to be sympathetic with people experiencing chronic back pain, you might just be wrong. And why not! Since ER rooms are for cases that require urgent treatment, chronic back pain is something that needs long term treatment and not quick relief which you wrongly expect from emergency departments.

The one tragic thing about hospitals and ER doctors is that although they have all tests (CT scan, MRI images, X-rays) of a sufferer available to them, still they prescribe them certain pain killers and think their job done. You certainly don’t want to be among the patients who wait hours just to hear the doctor tell them they’ve been substance abused, while their results show a herniated disc problem!

A good advice for all chronic back pain patients would be to not waste their time and money waiting outside an ER room, instead consult proper pain doctor and physician for complete chronic pain relief. You can visit a good pain management center for this purpose, where the doctor will not only diagnose your cause properly, but will also employ effective treatments that not includes pain killers solely.
